Here at Star Sushi, our journey began when we decided to bring better quality sushi to our customers here in Madison. For 13 years, we worked for a franchise that overcharged products, so, in December of 2022, we decided to buy our own shop and start our own family business, driven to give our customers sushi that uses higher quality ingredients.

Our dedication to adding value to our community and to customer satisfaction is what sets us apart. We’ve embraced better testing systems that ensure the finest grade of fish that our customers will actually enjoy. Our commitment to continuous improvement ensures that we will stay ahead of the standards set by franchising businesses and that our customers will be healthier from eating our sushi.

We know that customers are the heart of our business, and shifting away from a franchise allows us to maintain our core model focused on customer experience. We want to ensure that every interaction we have reflects our devotion, and we are committed to providing an exceptional service that prioritizes accessibility. As of March of 2023, we expanded our family business into Fresh Mart stores and hospitals affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison to keep people fed wherever they go.
